Anna Jarvis BSc (Hons)
Anna specialises in Neurological Physiotherapy and has a real passion in working with her patients to help them improve their wellbeing and motivating them to achieve their specific goals. Anna will work with the individual to get to know what is important and achievable for them to reach their best potential. Anna has had experience in working with a wide range of settings including Neuro-Intensive Care, In-patient Rehabilitation, Outpatient and Community services, she has cared for people with a wide range of needs and neurological conditions. Anna is experienced in treating clients who have had strokes, spinal cord injuries, head injuries or neurosurgical procedures, and those with neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
Since qualifying with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2007, Anna quickly found a passion for working with patients with neurological conditions and specialised as a senior Neuro Physiotherapist in 2010. Anna has worked in several regional specialist units both in London (St George’s Hospital and Kings College Hospital) and Southampton (Wessex Neurological Unit) which has provided opportunities to work with neurological patients on their journey all the way from neuro intensive care to rehabilitation and also into the community.
Since moving to Hampshire 10 years ago with her husband and two children Anna works part time in a neurological physiotherapy clinic, and also works part time independently seeing clients in the Guildford area.
Outside of work Anna loves spending time with her family and being active going for walks in nature with the family (including dog!) and taking part in group exercise classes at the gym. Anna enjoys a challenge and has taken part in numerous running challenges including the London Marathon.
