Charlotte Salvetti-Langton MSc, BSc
Charlotte specialises in Neurological Physiotherapy and has a real passion in getting to know her patients and what will motivate them to achieve their goals. With experience in Neuro-Intensive Care, In-patient Rehabilitation, Outpatient and Community services, she has cared for people with a wide range of needs and neurological conditions. Charlotte is experienced in treating clients who have had strokes, head injuries or neurosurgical procedures, and those with neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
Charlotte’s interest in Neurology stems from her studies at Cardiff University, where she became fascinated with the intricacies of the brain, spinal cord and nervous system. She graduated in 2010, with a Bachelor of Science with Anatomy, her subsequent studies and professional experience have only served to increase her thirst for knowledge in this field. Her drive to help others lead Charlotte to the University of Brighton and a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Science, graduating and qualifying as a Physiotherapist in 2013.
Since qualifying as a physiotherapist, Charlottes’ desire to specialise and her love for neurology led her to working in multiple NHS Trusts in London, West Sussex and Hampshire. During her time at St George’s Hospital, London (a major trauma centre and principle teaching hospital as seen on 24hours in A&E), Charlotte cared for neurological patients in the acute stroke, neurosurgical, neuro – Intensive Care Unit, long-term rehabilitation and outpatient settings. Her academic background and practical experience quickly gained her a post as a senior Neuro Physiotherapist in 2016.
Since relocating to Petersfield, with her musculoskeletal physiotherapist husband – Ben Salvetti-Langton and their two young children, Charlotte has taken up a part-time post at a local neurological physiotherapy clinic, and also works part-time independently seeing clients in Surrey.
Outside of work, Charlotte loves spending time with her family, especially in the great outdoors – anything involving country walks, sports, gardening, trampolining or riding pretend broomsticks with the kids. At the weekends, she and Ben run a successful, weekly, sports rehabilitation fitness class (Sport-Fit). Charlotte loves to run and has previously completed the London Marathon and other running events with Ben. She also gained her solo free-fall sky-diving license, and hopes to return to the skies one day soon.
